This movement isn't here to tell you what that step should be - only here to remind you that you can take it

While much of this movement is explained throughout the website, today, I want to offer a perspective on what this journey means, and more importantly, what it could mean for you.  At its heart, Why Not Me? isn’t about politics. Yes, politics is my entry point, my "why not me?"—but this movement goes far beyond that. It’s about discovering your own why not me? It’s about challenging the limits you’ve placed on yourself or that others have placed on you. 

Whether your path leads to public service, starting a business, pursuing an education, or something entirely unique, this movement is here to help you see those possibilities and take that leap.  For me, politics is the way I’ve chosen to make a difference. I’ve seen the cracks in the system—the way it leaves people like us behind, the way it favors the connected and ignores the struggling. But Why Not Me? isn’t just about fixing a broken system. It’s about empowering you to take the steps you’ve been afraid to take, to ask the hard questions: Why not open that dream business? Why not go back to school? Why not chase that impossible goal? Why not believe in your own voice?  

Each and every one of us has a “why not me?” moment. Maybe yours isn’t politics—maybe it’s a career move, an act of bravery, or even just the decision to take that first step. This movement isn’t here to tell you what that step should be—it’s here to remind you that you can take it.  We often let doubt or fear stop us from moving forward. We see others with more experience, more connections, more money, and we tell ourselves we’re not good enough. But here’s the truth: those who succeed aren’t always the best or the brightest—they’re the ones who dared to ask, Why not me? 

As the founder of this movement, I’ve asked myself that question countless times. I’ve doubted. I’ve hesitated. But at the end of the day, I know this: if we don’t believe in ourselves, if we don’t push for something better, who will? That’s the mindset that brought me here. And I’m asking you to take that mindset and make it your own.  This isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics. It’s about you. It’s about us. It’s about the dreams we’ve told ourselves are too far out of reach, and the collective strength we can use to reach them together. Why Not Me? is a movement, but it’s also a mindset—and together, we can make it unstoppable.  So today, I invite you to explore your own why not me? Whatever it is—big or small—remember this: you have the power to take that step. And if you ever need a reminder of that power, this movement is here for you.  Thank you for being part of this journey.
