See, listen, think!

We need to give teachers the resources, support, and freedom to go beyod the test prep and focus on what truly matters. We need to make media literacy a standard part of our curriculum, not an afterthought. We need to create learning environments where curiosity is celebrated, where mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow, and where every student no matter where they come from feels empowered to ask, Why not me?

Education For all

Why Not Me?

2. Address Implicit Bias in Curriculum and Testing

1. Equal Funding for All Schools

believes that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of where they live or their socioeconomic background. Education is the cornerstone of opportunity, and ensuring equal access is critical to creating a society where everyone has the chance to thrive. We’re committed to policies that foster fairness, inclusivity, and innovation in our education system.

1. Equal Funding for All Schools

Funding should not be determined by a community’s property taxes or zip code, which unfairly disadvantages low-income neighborhoods. We support policies that allocate funding equitably, ensuring every school has the resources it needs for smaller class sizes, advanced curricula, and well-trained teachers, regardless of location.

2. Address Implicit Bias in Curriculum and Testing

Education must reflect and respect all backgrounds and perspectives. We advocate for revising curricula to include diverse voices, histories, and achievements, as well as for reforming standardized testing practices that have historically reflected cultural biases. Every student deserves an environment where their identity and background are valued.

3. Increase Teacher Support and Pay

5. Commit to Mental Health and Counseling Services

2. Address Implicit Bias in Curriculum and Testing

Teachers are at the heart of our education system, yet they are often underpaid and overburdened. We believe in raising teacher salaries, offering professional development opportunities, and providing the resources they need to support students. Investing in teachers is an investment in the future of our children.

4. Expand Access to Early Childhood Education

5. Commit to Mental Health and Counseling Services

5. Commit to Mental Health and Counseling Services

Early education is crucial to lifelong success. We support universal access to high-quality pre-kindergarten programs to ensure every child has the developmental and social foundation they need from the very start. Early investment in education creates better outcomes in adulthood, benefitting society as a whole.

Learning is closely tied to emotional and mental well-being. We support expanding access to school counselors, mental health professionals, and social workers in schools, especially in underserved communities. No child should face their challenges alone, and every student deserves a safe, supportive environment.

6. Increase Funding for Special Education

8. Affordable Higher Education and Debt Relief

6. Increase Funding for Special Education

Students with disabilities deserve full access to an equitable education. We advocate for stronger funding and resources for special education programs, including individualized support, assistive technology, and trained specialists. A truly inclusive school system meets the needs of all students, empowering them to reach their full potential.

7. Invest in STEM and Vocational Training

8. Affordable Higher Education and Debt Relief

6. Increase Funding for Special Education

Preparing students for the future means providing skills for both college and career paths. We support expanding STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs, as well as vocational and technical training, to prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities, from trades to tech.

8. Affordable Higher Education and Debt Relief

8. Affordable Higher Education and Debt Relief

Higher education should not mean lifelong debt. We support initiatives to make college more affordable, including expanded financial aid, free community college programs, and student loan debt relief. Every student should be able to pursue higher education without a financial burden that limits their future.

Why Not Me?

The Hard Truths We Can't ignore

the opportunity gap

believes every child deserves access to quality education, no matter their zip code. Schools should be places where potential is nurtured, not limited by underfunding or outdates systems. True educational equality starts with listening to those directly impacted - students, parents and educators.

the opportunity gap

The Hard Truths We Can't ignore

the opportunity gap

The quality of education shouldn't depend on your address, but too often it does. In many communities, students face overcrowded classrooms, outdates textbooks, and underpaid teachers. Meanwhile, just miles away, better-funded schools offer cutting edge technology and limitless opportunities

  • Students in wealthier districts receive up to $2,000 more per year in funding than those in lower-income areas.
  • 1 in 3 schools lacks the resources to provide after-school programs or mental health support.
  • Teachers in underfunded schools are 40% more likely to leave professions.

This isn't just an education gap - it's an opportunity gap that follows students into adulthood. Education should open doors, not build walls.

The Hard Truths We Can't ignore

The Hard Truths We Can't ignore

A New vision for Education Equity

  • Children in underfunded schools score 20% lowers on standardized tests.
  • Many public schools lack basic infrastructure. Leaking ceilings, outdated technology, and not enough support staff.
  • Students from low-income families are less likely to graduate on time, widening economic divides.

Ignoring these issues now creates a future where inequality thrives.

A New vision for Education Equity

Why Not Me? envisions a future where:

  • Schools are funded equitably, not by property taxes that perpetuate inequality.
  • Teachers are paid fairly and supported with the resources they need to succeed.
  • Trade programs and life skills education are part of every curriculum.
  • Students have access to mental health support, after-school programs, and early education - no exceptions.

Education isn't just about academics, its about preparing students for their future 21 year old self.

Why this matters to everyone

Why this matters to everyone

Educational inequality affects the whole community. When students succeed:

  • Local economies grow.
  • Crime rates decrease.
  • Future generations break the cycle of poverty

Investing in education isn't charity, its how we build stronger, more resilient communities.

Welcome to Why Not Me?

For too long,  we've been told to wait, accept low wages, skyrocketing costs, and leaders who work for billionaires instead of us. Why Not Me? is here to change that.

The Republican Party has rigged the system for the wealthy while distracting us with fear and division. And too often, Democrats have failed to fight back. We demand a party that stands with working people, not corporations, not the ultra rich, not political insiders.

This is about power. Our power. The power to lead, to demand better, to build a future where workers come first.

Why Not Me? Why not us? Why not now?
